Cutting Edge Materials Recovery Facility

The recyclables from Central and East Contra Costa are processed using next-generation technology and then recycled into new products. Discover how we utilize cutting-edge technology to increase processing capacity, maximize recycling, minimize landfilling, and reduce residual waste.

Construction Recycling Made Easy with RCI-Certified

We take great pride in our recovery rate exceeding 90%. This exceptional figure means contractors and homeowners alike can confidently rely on us to help them meet and often exceed the rigorous recycling targets set by local ordinances and CALGreen building standards. Our collaboration with Green Halo simplifies the process, helping you meet recycling requirements quickly and efficiently.

A Decades-Long Tradition

We take pride in our longstanding tradition of converting green waste into compost. The landscape waste picked up by our collection trucks, the material self-hauled by local landscapers, and the public undergoes a rigorous transformation at our facility.

E-Waste Recycling Is Easy and Convenient

In today’s rapidly advancing technological world, electronic devices are becoming obsolete faster than ever, leading to an unprecedented increase in electronic waste. Our facility welcomes a wide range of electronic devices for recycling. Through our partnerships, the region’s electronic waste is diverted from landfills and repurposed for environmental sustainability, ensuring the intelligent reuse of electronic components.

Certified CARE Partner

As a certified Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE) partner, we diverted over 2 million pounds of carpet from the landfill in 2022 and 2023. Our efforts have ranked us as one of California’s top carpet recycling facilities for several years!

Mattress Recycle

By recycling mattresses, we significantly reduce the volume of waste sent to landfills, mitigate greenhouse gas emissions, and conserve natural resources. Our process aligns with environmental sustainability goals and contributes to a circular economy, where 80-90% of the mattresses are recycled and repurposed, extending their lifecycle and reducing our carbon footprint.

Rerouted for Repurposing

Tires that end up in landfills can take over 60 years to decompose. Every tire, whether from a car, truck, or tractor, with or without the rim attached, is repurposed and diverted from the landfill. In 2023 alone, we rerouted more than 180,000 pounds from the landfill. Our programs go beyond blue cart recycling; we are setting the pace for the region’s environmental conservation efforts.
