Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery and the City of Concord invite Concord residents to our free Residential Drop-Off Event.

Clear out unwanted household materials at no cost. Registration is required, so reserve your time slot today, and we’ll take care of the rest.

When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 | 8 AM – 12 PM (Rain or Shine)
Where: Toyota Pavilion at Concord, 2000 Kirker Pass Road, Concord, CA

What to Expect

• A reserved time slot — registration is required, and arriving within your time slot helps the drop-off go smoothly.
• A residents-only event, open to Concord households with active MDRR service.
• One trip per household, with household garbage accepted and on-site staff to assist with check-in and unloading directions.
• Tire collection by Contra Costa Health — visit the Contra Costa Health website for accepted tire types and how to bring them.

Before You Arrive: Registration must be completed by the MDRR account holder, and you’ll need your registration confirmation at check-in. Space is limited, so if your plans change, please cancel your reservation to open a spot for another household.

Non-Acceptable Items
Due to special handling requirements, we’re unable to accept the following at this event:

• Household hazardous waste
• E-waste, universal waste, and batteries
• Auto parts, boats, and vehicle components
• Building and construction materials (such as sheetrock, carpet, flooring, concrete, dirt, rock, and brick)
• Appliances, microwaves, and AC units
• Treated wood waste

Building materials, appliances, and treated wood waste can be taken to our Recycling Center + Transfer Station, open 7 days a week (fees apply).

Pro Tip: Donate Before You Drop Off. If your items are still in good or working condition, consider donating them. Local charities, friends, family, or online community boards (such as Craigslist, FreeCycle, and Facebook) can give them a second life.

Have electronics to recycle? Bring them to our Free E-Waste Recycling Event on Saturday, November 14, in honor of America Recycles Day.
