Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery’s Outreach Team offers comprehensive education and outreach programs to help residents, businesses, and apartment communities reduce waste and improve recycling practices.
Our team specializes in helping a wide range of businesses, including offices, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, retail shops, shopping centers, schools, and multifamily properties.
Our Programs
Waste Audits + Consultations
Every business is unique and faces different challenges regarding waste reduction and proper recycling. Our Outreach Team is available to conduct waste audits for your site to ensure compliance with local and state requirements while helping streamline services to be cost-effective.
Presentations + Trainings
Our Outreach Teams can provide educational presentations to classrooms and assist with staff training for restaurant and custodial staff. Our team will also provide brochures and container stickers at no additional cost!
Events
As an active community partner, Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery’s Outreach Team actively participates in group events. Whether providing a helping hand for a park cleanup or staffing a table at a special event, we are here to help educate and answer questions about waste reduction, proper sorting, and our robust recycling and organics programs.
Site Visits
We offer a 45-minute educational site visit at our 1300 Loveridge Processing Facility. Our 17-acre site features our newly modernized Materials Recovery Facility, a dedicated Construction and Demolition (C+D) processing line, a transfer station, and our innovative Education Room. These visits are open to students, businesses, service clubs, and the general public.
