Before joining our Outreach Team, Raquel worked throughout the East Bay for a non-profit, helping with food recovery education and outreach. As a recent transplant to Pittsburg, she now lives and works in the area she calls home. Raquel is excited to help her new community with educating and spreading awareness about the importance of waste reduction and food recovery.
“With this new position, I am building upon my firsthand experience helping our food-insecure neighbors. It’s fulfilling helping businesses comply with SB 1383 and assisting the larger generators with the edible food recovery portion of the new regulation.”
