We welcome visitors to our Recycling Center + Transfer Station, which covers over 40 acres and functions as our resource recovery hub. Our facility includes a modern 17-acre Materials Recovery Facility, a specialized construction and demolition (C&D) processing line, a transfer station, and an innovative education room. We offer site visits and quarterly public tours for students, businesses, service clubs, and the general public.

Site Visit – Kids
Our Kids’ Visit is a child‑friendly session designed for children ages 6 to 12, held in our education room with views of the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF). Children explore the importance of reducing, reusing, recycling, and respecting our environment through fun, hands‑on learning activities.

Our interactive site visit is available to businesses, service groups, community organizations, and other community partners interested in seeing firsthand what happens to their waste after collection. Guests learn how we sort materials using advanced technology, get practical tips for reducing waste, and have their recycling questions answered.

Our School Visit is an interactive, education-focused session held in our education room, which offers views of the facility floor. This session is designed to support classroom learning by providing students with insights into how recycling works and why sorting matters. We will cover topics such as waste reduction, recycling beyond the blue cart, and the significance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Quarterly Public Tours
Our quarterly public tours offer a unique behind‑the‑scenes experience at our award‑winning, state‑of‑the‑art resource recovery facility. During the guided group tour, guests visit key areas of the site, observe active operations, and learn directly from our knowledgeable team. Participants see how recyclables, organics, garbage, and many other materials are processed at our Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and Transfer Station.
