Join us for our 7th Annual Reuse Event!
With back-to-school season right around the corner, Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery is proud to partner with the Pittsburg Police Department for our 7th Annual School Supply Giveaway. This event is part of our continued commitment to sustainability and community support, helping local families prepare for the school year while promoting the power of reuse.
Registered families will receive free backpacks filled with school supplies to help them kick off the school year.
When: Saturday, July 25, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Location: 65 Civic Ave, Pittsburg, CA
Registration is required, and supplies are limited. This is a drive-thru event; you do not need to get out of your car. Please follow the signs to the designated pickup location.
Who Can Participate
- One parent or guardian may register per household
- Up to four children per family
- All children must be present at the event to receive a backpack
- Registration must be completed within the allotted time
A parent or guardian must accompany all minors under 18. All guests are required to sign a Media Consent and Release of Liability form at check-in.
Throughout the year, our Reuse Program gathers a variety of reusable items, which are later redistributed at events and through our network of more than 20 partnering nonprofit organizations.
