Join us for a special guided tour at Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery’s Materials Recovery Facility (MRF).

This exclusive behind-the-scenes tour takes you through the full journey of your sorted materials. You will see how your everyday efforts make a big impact as materials are collected, processed, and recovered. You will also learn why some items can be recycled while others cannot.

This two-hour guided experience begins at our Education Center. Guests will tour key areas of the facility as a group, with opportunities to observe operations and learn directly from our team.

What You’ll Experience

• A guided walk-through of our facility floor.
• An interactive Q&A with our experts on what can and cannot be recycled.

Before You Arrive: To ensure a smooth and safe visit, please keep the following in mind:

• Check in upon arrival at the Education Center.
• Closed-toe shoes are required for all guests.
• Strollers are not permitted on the facility floor.
• A parent or guardian must accompany minors under 18.
• All guests must sign a Media Consent and Release of Liability.
