Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery is proud to celebrate the 15th anniversary of its Give Back Program (GBP). This long-standing community initiative provides annual support to the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.

As part of the program’s 15th anniversary, Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery presented a $20,661 donation to the Food Bank to help expand food access for families. Since its inception, the Give Back Program has remained committed to supporting the Food Bank’s mission to fight hunger in Contra Costa and Solano counties.

Thank you to the Customer Service team for helping share information about the Give Back Program and assisting customers with paperless billing enrollment. Recognition also goes to Carlos and Leslie for going above and beyond.

The Give Back Program reflects the company’s broader commitment to strengthening the communities it serves while protecting the environment. Through community partnerships and resource conservation efforts, Mt. Diablo Resource Recovery continues to support programs that reduce waste, conserve natural resources, and benefit the community.

Advancing Sustainability Through Paperless Billing

This year also marks a significant milestone in the company’s sustainability efforts. More than 31,000 customers, representing nearly 40% of all accounts, are now enrolled in paperless billing, reducing paper consumption and the environmental impacts associated with printing and mailing paper statements.

Based on environmental impact estimates, the shift to paperless billing helps conserve natural resources each year, including saving an estimated 90 trees annually and reducing associated greenhouse gas emissions.

Customers can enroll in paperless billing through their online account and receive secure email notifications when their statement is ready.
